Quick universal check (works on most Android phones): Open the Phone app and dial *#06#. If you see an entry labeled EID or IMEI (eSIM), your device supports eSIM. If there’s no EID or eSIM IMEI listed, your device may not support eSIM or the feature may be disabled by the manufacturer, carrier, or region.
Samsung devices
- Open Settings.
- If a search bar is available, type “IMEI” and select IMEI information (or go to About phone > Status).
- Tap IMEI information.
- If you see IMEI (eSIM) or EID, your device supports eSIM.
Other Android devices
- Open the Phone app and dial *#06# to view identifiers.
- Alternatively, go to Settings > About phone > Status (or SIM status) and look for EID or IMEI (eSIM).
- If an EID or eSIM IMEI is present, the device is eSIM compatible.
Note: Terminology and menu names can vary by brand and Android version. Some devices show only EID (no “IMEI eSIM” label), which still indicates eSIM support.
